Halloween in Napa Valley is going to be a little different this year but the good times will keep on rolling with socially distanced Napa events and, of course, great outdoor dining! Downtown Joe’s has one of the best seated outdoor dining experiences with fantastic views of the Napa river and a fun, lively atmosphere. Even though the world has changed we can still have a spooky-good time this season, so here’s some fun ideas to make this year’s celebration unique and memorable!

What can you do?

Even though trick-or-treating may not happen downtown like usual, you can still have a great time with a home or backyard scavenger hunt. By getting creative with Halloween-themed decorations and great candy you can still bring the spirit of the season to life for the kids even if there isn’t a ton going on outside. Halloween-themed piñatas are also an incredibly fun take on the holiday so don’t be afraid to branch out! But remember, outdoor dining is a year-round affair in Napa so you can still swing by or order take out from us at Downtown Joe’s on October 31st!

Napa Events to Check Out

Napa events won’t be all gone this year as our valley still has a pumpkin patch for you to pick out your favorite autumn vegetables! While not quite a singular event-Matteo Abreu and Lexi Mangola’s pumpkin patch in St. Helena is a fantastic autumn outing for those with children. These nice folks planted a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, corn maze and have brought in goats and chickens for petting so our local families can still enjoy the best part of fall. They also may start having a food truck visit regularly!

Even though there won’t be any trick-or-treating Napa events this year, Calistoga still wanted to keep the fun alive by encouraging property owners to elaborately decorate their houses for passersby to admire on Halloween! Check out the Calistoga Halloween Spirit Map online for this fun mini-event. Be sure to stop by Downtown Joe’s for great outdoor dining before heading up valley! Napa events may not be entirely the same in 2020 but there’s still great food, wine and fun to be had. So be sure to come to our valley have a great Fall vacation!
